In Aghios Ioannis Square and in the building that until 1870 housed the Elementary School in 1870, the Kastanitsa Information Center was funded by the special European programs in 2008. The building was reconstructed as a whole, the necessary infrastructure was added and in two halls of the Mediterranean was created an important exhibition with photographic illustration and texting of the important and unique flora and fauna of Parnonas for the architectural particularity of Kastanitsa and the surrounding villages of Parnonas, for the paths and gorges of the region, for the unique chestnut tree that embraces Kastanitsa but also for Parnonas, the beautiful mountain stretching from Argoliko to Monemvasia.

The most important creation that will soon be accessible as well as the Parnonas Ecological Park, which is responsible for its operation, will be staffed by a guide. It is the intentions of the Agency and the active Association of the Everyday Castanists to form the third Hall of the Mediterranean in Historical Historical Retrospection for Kastanitsa and its people, while for the basement there are thoughts to be formed as a Folklore Museum of traditional professions.
